Each of our bamboo straws is made of a separate organic bamboo tree sourced from wild plantations in rural areas of Thanh Hoa Province – Nghe An, Vietnam.
Bamboo is actually a grass species, but grows five times faster than most other plants, reaching an adult tree in just three years. Bamboo can be harvested every two years for up to 40 years, which makes it 100% environmentally friendly and very durable.
Bamboo is cut down, then dried naturally in the sun for a few days before being brought back to the workshop into short tubes and then finer.
Bamboo is cut from its inherent length into tubes with a length of 20-21cm. Bamboo straws are made manually one by one. Therefore, naturally, some uneven straws are blocked and have a slightly different color.
We try to use each part of each bamboo trunk, which is why you will find that our environmentally friendly straws have different thicknesses. Some are even slightly curved, but we believe this adds to the beauty of the straws!
Once cut into tubes, they will be sanded, smoothed, smoothed round the ends of the straws so they become naturally smooth, perfect for your favorite drinks!
Afterwards, the bamboo straws become smaller, finer, and washed with pressure water. We absolutely do not use chemicals or pesticides in any part of the production stage. Each straw is 100% organic and made with responsibility.
Next, the straws are dried on large sedge mats under the bright sunlight of Vietnam for about a week, to ensure the straws turn beautifully yellow yellow and the outside surface is natural sunlight.
After drying, the straws are finally filtered, checked for quality and piled up to be packed into lovely natural jute bags.
